5 Resort Collections That Were Inspired by Art

Sculpture, painting, taxidermy ... if you can do a visual art, it is likely that the inspiration of fashion raided more than once. So where in the arts is that inspiration is the source of the season / pre-season in the spring of 2013 ?

To keep things in the world of fast fashion, designers look for lesser known names, at least for teachers, and most of his contemporaries ideas. Can you see the similarities between their finished products and the spark of inspiration, muses gathered in their name? Here are five collections and works of art (or artists), who were inspired.

Prabal Gurung and Aaron Moran

Does not take much mental effort to see the link between station 2013 Prabal Gurung fragmented sculptures and colorful collection Aaron Moran. Artwork by Moran join wood using found, while the Gurung forms borrowed clothes, but to apply a new coat of paint in the open, use and dispose of objects in the sense of his muse.

Anna Sui and the Art Nouveau

For the season 2013, Anna Sui brand took a turn bohemian prints Art Nouveau. It is easy to imagine that Alfons Mucha girls with wavy hair Sui watched from a privileged position on its board of directors of seasonal mood, while the gardens of the curved lines and symmetrical shapes have left their mark on the mind and Sui producing patterned fabrics.

Helmut Lang and Kate MccGwire

The intense work of Kate MccGwire constructed from feathers are the type that are both visually striking and disturbing little play in this space of the loss when something familiar is presented in an unusual way. For the season 2013, Helmut Lang and Michael designers Nicole Colovos works MccGwire used as a basis for abstract print that simulates both the natural patterns and colors MccGwire work.

Jason Wu and Mike Libby

You may not have heard of Mike Libby, unless of course you are fascinated by steampunk cyber insects. Libby is the creator of the Laboratory of insects, which "customizes real insect specimens with antique watch parts and other technological components." This unique and impeccably executed entomological art by Jason Wu was cited as one of the inspirations behind the station womenswear collection (look out for some causes of insects and microscopic models).

Giles and classical sculpture

Most literally, seen in photo prints that splashed through some of Giles Deacon parts of 2013 season, it happened that the designer was inspired by classical statues in North Yorkshire Castle Howard, one of the mansions of England "more large ", the most notable for having multiple interpretations of Brideshead Revisited set amoungst their motives.

There's something a bit surprising to see the folds of the fabric of carved marble stone reprinted in an actual dress fabric. Maybe that's why it works.
